Mercy with Cheerfulness
'According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts:
If prophecy,
use it according to the standard of one's faith;
if service, in service;
if teaching, in teaching;
if exhorting, in exhortation;
giving, with generosity;
leading, with diligence;
showing mercy, with cheerfulness.'
(Romans 12: 6 - 8 HCSB)
Believe it or not, the mercy with cheerfulness thing is actually quite hard. Miss Calamity either tries to help too many people at the same time, becoming overwhelmed (and therefore grumpy), or is convinced that she's not helping enough people (and is therefore grumpy).
In short, she spends more time being grumpy than she does practicing mercy with cheerfulness. Finding a balance is hard.
